Paytm launches its own mini-app store
Late last month, Google announced that it would enforce its 30 percent fee for apps that are on Google Play but are not using its billing system. This led Indian app developers to demand for an Indian app store alternative to Google Play. Paytm was also among one the key Indian apps that was pulled from Google Play recently. Google later clarified that Paytm was removed from the platform for violating its content rules, and not for offering cashbacks and vouchers. This led to Paytm launching its own Mini App Store within the digital payments app and will also provide developers with free payment avenues including Paytm Wallet, Paytm Payments Bank, and UPI.
POCO C3 launched in India: Latest Weekly Tech News
POCO after becoming a sub brand of Xiaomi has now been focussing on smartphones of all price ranges. Truth be told that the brand is actually rebranding Redmi phones which were launched outside India and launching them under the POCO brand in India. POCO C3 is a rebranded version of Redmi 9C and with the promise of no ads and bloat-free experience lets see what POCO has to offer this time. The C3 starts in India at ₹7,499 for the 3GB+32GB Variant.

Finally Apple has set a date and as per previous leaks the iPhone 12 series will launch on October 13th. The Indian timing will be 10:30PM and we can expect iPhone 12 mini, 12, 12 Pro & 12 Pro Max with prices starting from around 50k which may go upto 1.5 lakhs. Airtel in Talks With PUBG Corp to Bring Back PUBG Mobile to India
According to a report from Entrackr, which claims that the nation’s second largest telecom operator entered into talks after PUBG Corp’s negotiations with Reliance Jio fell. According to an anonymous source cited by the report, PUBG is in early conversation with Airtel for handing over distribution rights to the telecom giant. Neither PUBG Corp, nor Airtel, has issued any official statement on the matter, but we should expect to hear more soon.

Amazon has given us another new reason to consider buying its Fire TV Stick. It has released an update to add support for Live TV channels to its Fire TV devices in India. With this update, users will see two new tabs namely ‘Live’ and ‘On Now’ on Fire TV’s home page. The former will show you live TV channels from SonyLIV, Voot, NextG TV, and Discovery+. This includes popular channels, including Sony SAB HD, Colors HD, SET HD, Nick HD+, Dangal, DD National, News18 India, MTV Beats HD, SONY BBC Earth HD, Mastii TV Music, and Discovery.
